Goal

• Ensure that students have a complete and thorough understanding of Chemistry, especially for Organic Chemistry
• Coverage of all topics with particular emphasis on Redox, Chemical Bonding, Chemical Energetics, Ionic Equilibrium and Planning

• Mind Map notes or Key notes with important learning points especially for difficult topics like Physical and Organic Chemistry
•  Enhance understanding based on interactive problem solving approach for challenging questions from Paper 3
• Practice higher ordered thinking skills using JC Prelim and TYS questions

 

Mathematics

Goal

• Ensure that students have a solid foundation of mathematical concepts in handling challenging questions
• Coverage of all topics with particular emphasis on AP and GP related to compound interest rate, Summation and Method of Difference, Differentiation and Application, Vectors

Approach

• Build solid foundation of mathematical concepts with understanding and application to different types of questions
• Mind Map notes or Key notes with important learning points
• Practice specially selected JC Prelim and TYS questions to ensure coverage of width and depth

 

Physics

Goal

• Ensure that students have a clear understanding of Physics principles and solving integrated questions
• Coverage of all topics with particular emphasis on Projectiles, Forces and Dynamics, Superposition and Planning

Approach

• Understand Physics principles through problem solving and learning by application of these principles to daily life examples
• Make key notes with important learning points
• Practice higher ordered thinking skills using JC Prelim and TYS questions

 

General Paper

Goal

• To be able to analyze global issues and to think about the impact on these issues in Singapore
• To be able to craft clear and effective arguments for essay writing
• To be able to extract key arguments from comprehension passages and assimilate own analysis for Application Questions (AQ)
• In depth coverage of popular themes like Science and Technology , Environment, Society, Media

Approach

• Essay writing skills and techniques will be taught
• Practice 1 full essay every 1.5 month and 1 full comprehension passage every 1 month
• Thorough feedback will be provided for written essays and application questions
• Various school practice papers (including top JCs) will be used so that students can benchmark their standards
